Most counfounding and frustrating "church" I've ever set foot in. This kind of aberrant church seems to prey on the ignorant and vulnerable.

I am a parent of a wonderful girl that plays on a volleyball team with the daughter of Reverend Bryan Dahms. Earlier this week a parent of one of the girls on the team voiced some concerns about the way the team was being coached. Reverend Dahms took the time to email all the parents with his delightful thoughts and comments on this girls future. I am a catholic and very faith based. But as you will see from his words, he seems to lack faith in our youth. Very disheartening for a man that founded a church that is supposed to be very faith based would write this. Enjoy the reading from Reverend Bryan Dahms, the founder of this church:

Your daughter is not going anywhere in this sport.
Your daughter is not going to play D1 volleyball.
Your daughter is not going to the olympics.

These are all quotes from a long email basically saying that the player of the parent who spoke up will never succeed in this sport. I don't understand why a parent can't make suggestions without a Reverend insulting a wonderful 13 year old girl. I would strongly suggest you consider who this man is before attending his church.

    Sincerely,

    Concerned Christian

  • My husband, teenage daughter and I love attending Morse Church. It is simple, genuine and the members very caring towards each other and our community. For being a small church, we always seem to be busy serving and doing! The church is especially beautiful at holidays, Christmas and Easter, and Pastor Ek's sermons are extremely insightful and inspirational. I love that this, to me feels like what a church should be: a focus on learning and following Biblical teachings, and loving, helping and accepting each other through a shared love of Jesus Christ.

  • We've attended now for a bit over a year and grown to love our little Morse family. Music is always heartfelt with a lot of participation from the pews. Yes, there are pews! Don't know how old but from the look perhaps date back to when it was built (100+ yrs) Pastor Bryan is well-schooled in Church (big C) history and energetic in delivery. More important, it's clear he is a passionate, committed follower of Jesus Christ. He's patient in taking us through the long, winding road of the early church, middle ages, Reformation... up to where God has brought us today. When our son decided last February (2011) he wanted to be baptized, the church formed the entire Sun service around the event. Very meaningful, not the cattle call my wife and I grew up with. After the mission trip the church took this summer to South Dakota our 2nd born decided he also wanted to make his faith public with baptism! Wow, the best thing about being a father. Probably my favorite part of each service is our communion which we have every Sunday; always a new call, always sweet. The presence of Christ among us.
